The Kick is a freeware VSTi instrument used to create your own, customized kick samples. This is great because you can use your own perfected sounds, not relying on kick samples made by others to fit perfectly with your tracks.
This tool is also very helpful for creating very low bass kicks to layer over your acoustic samples, to use this way try applying a little bit of attack at the beginning of the kick to remove the any drop and click sounds. This way you will be using the sampled kick sounds to start and the VSTi to add bass to the end.
